Concept

The pandemic has obliged us to maintain a distance of 180 cm away from one another. ‘Social Distancing Arduino Device’ is a tool that alerts any person wearing it to the approach of others using 2 sensors and 1 actuator: it beeps when the heat within the 180 cm radius is higher than 26 degrees Celsius [temperature sensor], and when others penetrate the 180 cm radius [ultrasonic distance detector]. Surrounding temperature is directly proportional to how crowded it could be in the 180 cm radius.

Technique

The materials used were the breadboard, Arduino Uno, 1x DHT11 Sensor, 1x Ultrasonic sensor, and 1x Piezo buzzer [actuator]. The serial print monitor visualizes the distance of any person approaching the user in centimeters. In addition, it maps the increase and decrease in temperatures.
