Meteorite is a project in Programming with Processing aiming at creating generative forms. The main idea stems from the behaviour of meteorites/comets. When a meteorite is approaching a star/sun while orbiting around it, a tail of matter is created pointing away from both the meteorite and the star, as a result of the star’s emitted heat and energy. In this project, the reference point for the relative movement of the meteorite-star system is the meteorite. This script consists of three classes: one class (“Meteorites”) is creating the particles system, their behaviour and their trails imitating the meteorite’s tail, the second class (“Particles”) is displaying the particles system, defining the applied force by the star and setting a life time for each particle while the last class (“Sun”) is creating the star and defining it’s movement around the meteorite.
