MANIFESTO

The distinctive feature of the site, apart from being on the edge of the city, is its connection with Besos River running adjacent to the site. However, the boundary wall built after 1962 flood to prevent future incident  has detached biodiversity of the river with urban texture of the city. Hence, the project’s aim is subdue this disconnection by creating a living and active space with ecological connectivity, a habitat for existed bird species and vegetation along the river, also a gathering point between 2 cities and a transition between urban context and biodiversity. The objective here is to create an active link for the community engagement with the nature. Besides, solar panels will be used as a major source to generate energy.
