The RONDES: NO(DE)-Places is an intensive two-day workshop training the students in the development of maps and diagrams to analyze, describe and develop scenarios for different urban environments.


The seminar will work on the case study of the ring road of Barcelona – Les Rondes – with the objective of training the students in the discovery and representation of the relational aspects of advanced urbanism, the integration of complex systems in the geographical and urban scale, the existing forces in the territory.


In the first part of the workshop, students will have access to a source of different representation methodologies and will be introduced to the theoretical framework of Advanced Urbanism. In the second part of the seminar, with a learning-by-doing methodology, they will develop ”battle-maps”, synthetic and intentional representation of the urban environment, capable to work as an informational tool.
