INTRODUCTION

The concept was to develop a Louvre system with sun as a factor of response. The façade panel respond to the sun pattern and provide shading and passive sunlight to the balcony space. Once the panels are completely shut the Light detecting sensor gets activated and the balcony light automatically gets lit.

Solar Louvre is a project of IAAC, Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia developed at Master in Advanced Architecture in 2021 by Student: James Kingsley Claudin and faculty: Bernat Morato, faculty assistant: Daniil Koshelyul.
