Recode is a digital platform to design spatial and programmatic urban interventions to reduce the urban divide of polarized resource consumption and socio-economic imbalances.

System to intervene

Sustainable urban development by government agencies and real estate developers for modifications to existing infrastructure and new interventions.

Iceberg model

Systems map

Urban interventions based on contextual vulnerabilities instead of zoning allocations would improve the socio-economic performance of the area thereby creating possibilities for sustainable developments.

This would be achieved through a protocol for spatial and programmatic possibilities for the site.

Stakeholder Assessment

Takeaways and Next steps

The domino effect of the bottom-up approach of the project influencing multiple current and future dynamics of the urban landscape. Government and Finance investors play a key role in the realization of the project. Conducting impact analysis of the intervention based on projections of socio-economic indicators and developing the design solution with the possibility of alteration followed by creating a report to apply for grants and subsidies would be the next steps to materialise the project.
