The Pivot lamp is 3D printed to hide it’s complexity and appear simple. The lamp is composed of 6 simple cylindrical rings which pivot about a wooden pipe that is concealed within a undulating mass that form the internal walls. These walls allow for a dramatic diffusion of light depending on the distance between the 2 walls that varies form 1mm to 10mm.

The pivot allows the user to interact with the object and creates different variations in the quality of light achieved.
