Valldaura, which was an agricultural production site at the beginning of the 20th century, is rapidly recovering its agricultural production, with multiple initiatives aimed at producing organic food, mainly destined for its inhabitants. In these times of isolation it has become clear that food sovereignty and food security are of practical importance.

Currently in Valldaura organic crops, honey, eggs and forest products are harvested that allow daily food or the creation of preserves to be used outside the season.

The Ecological Interactions researchers use direct observation and computational tools to generate a comprehensive understanding of the entire environment and natural cycles around Valldaura Labs. Planning crop rotations to promote biodiversity and a broad nutritious diet.
