Design process :

– Basically, the process based on developing kind of
eccentric geometry then apply forces as the gravity
, tension, and compression in specific points.
– The first stage making two intersected eccentric circles then simulate the height at different levels.
– The second stage is to divide the surface to unsimilar length strips with anchor point fixed from both sides of the circles.
– The last stage changing a different kind of kangaro
forces with different parameters in order to reach the last shape.
– In order to reach the parametric strips, the gravity
forces in the centre of each strip with the tension
forces were very helpful to reach this kind of the geometry.
– In terms of the structural analysis you can see from the diagrams that the bending with tension forces concentrated on the eccentric circle then it’s moved gradually to the other fixed part of the geometry.
– The computational part basically relied on organising the data structure in a way to show
the projected strips of the geometry as a pattern
of stripped surfaces.
– Dividing the domains of the strips in a way to reach
the anchor points.
– Branching the data structure was one of the useful ways to organise the strips curves as pairs.
