One of the most important tools in the arsenal of a designer is the ability to visualize their design to reach across vast audiences. Good visualization techniques can help the project convey its intent without the designer’s input. Through this seminar we learnt the tools to create realistic impressions of our design that instantly connect with the viewers and explain themselves though medium of 3D rendered images and videos.

The first step was to realize the importance of attention to detail, ensuring the right direction for the pattern of a material, the right amount of lighting, adding details of nature where necessary. These small details that can make an image look realistic or not.

The other means of communication which is especially relevant today is through videos and walkthroughs. Increasingly the traditional presentations are being replaced by video representations which allow the project to be explained in a short amount of time while providing large amounts of visual data and communicating the essence of the space.
