Barcelona has a network of municipal markets that is different to any other in Europe. This includes 39 food markets characterized by their fresh food, personal service, quality and variety.

The markets are divided into four different types of market; Iconic History Markets, Modernista Markets, Specialty Markets and Street Markets.

Barcelona folk love to make the most of the good weather and do things outdoors. So it is normal to find occasional food and craft markets in the city’s streets and squares. Some have a long tradition and some are newer Some are weekly, while others are held at a particular time of the year. But they are all different, with their own identity, and could turn out to be a pleasant surprise.

By taking the data obtained from OpenDataBCN, Street Market in the city of Barcelona is then visualized by using grasshopper to identify which district has the most Street Market. This visualization could be useful for further purpose of charting the trade/business development within the city of Barcelona.
