This project analyses the use of efficient water systems for a multifamily mass timber project. The proposal calculates the water consumption of the selected plumbing fixtures with the “LEED water use calculator”. Selecting the adequate fixtures derives in water savings up to thirty percent.

The project collects the grey-water to be reused for the landscaping areas and to support fire suppression system, most importantly the filtered grey-water can be used to recharge the acuifers. Is also very important to select an efficient water heater, for this project, the water heater includes a heat pump that absorbs heat from the air around the tank, reducing drastically the use of energy.
