Applied Urban Strategies – 60 Seconds in Barcelona


Introduction:

An Exercise for the students to have an eye for the photography and cinematography developing their relation with the possibility of the connection between the hyper regions and slow city of Barcelona.

Procedure:

  1. Individual was allowed to pick a site from different parts of Barcelona.
  2. They where told to discover the areas and understand the day to day activities happening in the particular areas .
  3. Once they understood the activities they had to capture the scenario in one fixed frame
  4. It should be stable enough almost similar to the Japanese video recording style.
  5. Capture a raw video where they do not have to zoom or edit the video at all.
  6. At the Finish of the videos the idea was to combine the three 60 seconds videos created by each individual of the particular areas of Barcelona.
  7. also merge it  with another 20 students following the similar exercise and have a complete 60 minutes of a view of Barcelona lifestyle.
  8. The videos had to be explained in most simple way so that other people can understand the logic behind the capturing it in one single frame.
  9. Also why those activities happen during the day and night .
  10. This kind of the videos created by merging all the 60 Seconds video can give a really good tour around Barcelona city for all the tourist.
  11. A good way to see the best places and the activities going around in those areas of Barcelona.
