Striae is inspired by the texture of the stone at the Mies Van der Rohe Pavilion. The intervention explores the possibilities of differential growth to form new spatial configurations that maintains the light feel and material sensitivity of the existing structure. The project brings the striation of the stone into a three-dimensional space through an organic growth structure.
