The Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu wrote in the moral classics that ignoring the line of sight and avoiding touch are things of dormancy; lines and the blank space are mutually supportive. Here is a place where representational presence becomes a form of absence. Absence is created by a mathematical operation that compares and changes the distance between one point and various others. When hand drawing, meaningless lines depict the idea of being absent from the real world but exist only in the mind. In a physical machine environment, the presence of a magnetic field causes a disturbance in the trajectory of the pendulum resulting into territorial densities of  lines that also express absence.
