
One of the research targets for the Iaac during 2008 will be an extensive territorial investigation to propose urban and planning strategies for the South-eastern European country of Romania. Based on the contemporary geopolitical, economic and social changes undertaken by this country and the forthcoming incorporation to the European Union. The Iaac will analyze, evaluate and propose a series of projects making use of Urban planning methodologies previously applied in several projects carried out by the Institute such as, Hyper Catalonia, Croatia, Slovenia, Brazil and more recently Taiwan.
The studio will be carried out during January 2008, starting with a field trip to Romania by the students, experts and tutors research group.
In February 2008 a symposium about Romania will be organized at the IaaC and between July and September 2008, the research work will be published and exposed in an iterant exhibition, staring with the cities of Barcelona and Bucharest.
