The Z-X

The exercise aims at playing with the interference of light and sound waves on a surface. Light and sound are external stimuli manipulating the code making it interactive.

A surface was generated using quads. The arduino allows for the surface to be manipulated by external factors.

Sound exists in the form of longitudinal waves and light exists in the form of transversal waves; as a representation of this logic, sound modifies the quads along the x axis and light changes the colour of the quads.

The serial connection consists of a potentiometer and 2 LDRs, the potentiometer controls the scale of the formations. The LDRs control the RGB values, the colours vary according to the intensity of light on each of the sensors. Audio is introduced in processing using minim library, the sound controls the patterns formed.
