The aim of Voronoi Façade Animation exercise is to animate a dynamic and responsive facade system generated in Rhinoceros software, by using Grasshopper plugin. The façade system of the structure, which is formed by voronoi cells, is responsive to sunlight.

Generating the structure:

  1. Drawing circles
  2. Splitting the circles into two through XY plane
  3. Populating geometry
  4. Generating 3D Voronoi with boundary box
  5. Intersecting boundary box with the spheres
  6. Finding the discontinuities and generating new points
  7. Creating polylines by connecting the points
  8. Scaling the voronoi cells to produce frames
  9. Lofting the surface
