HISTORY EVOLUTION

Before moving to Barcelona, a lot of things related to drones drew my attention and gave me inspiration for the project, including shared videos on different networks like Facebook and YouTube, movies including the Quidditch scenes from Harry Potter, Star Wars, Avatar and the Recent movie Eye in the sky: Market Booming.

What sets the architect apart from the artist is functionality. The reinvention of La Monumental is not just a sculpture; it has a heart that beats and a need to serve the community. To this end, the project program is organized by different levels. We have:

System that relates all of them: The system of cycle (carpets) for rechargeable batteries. At the same time: Geometry that matches with the arena itself, relates all the different parcells Matches with the catalogue of drones demanded for Barcelona.

AERIAL INFRASTRUCTURE

The final component of this project involves the acknowledgement of the role of the ‘single’ as part of the ‘whole’. Here, we have designed a Drone Station, but at the same time we have also defined a concept. Care has been taken to preserve the identity of La Monumental by isolating the Drone Station design from the walls of the existing structure where possible.

At the same time, it allows us to take this structure and replicate it around the city, the country and the world. For the full realization views drones not just in the local context, but rather as a technology that facilitates the establishment of a global network. Ports spread in all cities around the world turn the logistics of human life into 3 dimensions, where people, products and services race to where they are needed most.
