The Sweep lamp
The aim of this project, was to reinterpret tipical geometry of a lamp, in accordance with the limmitations of the 3D printing machine, and the properties of the material ( density, opacity…).
After twisting the main edges of the geometry, rectangular sections sweep into circular profiles along the edges, from the top to the bottom of the geomatry. The intersection of the differents surfaces allows us to deacrease the density ot the lamp, in a vertical way. We get a 14 arms lamp, perfored by their own intersection.
This kind of operation is used by y Antonio Gaudi to design the colums of the Sagrada Familia.
