Inspired by an Indian geometrical pattern applied on a colourful carpet, we extracted the rhomboidal shape and cut it with horizontal lines, in order to open up the possibility of playing with a double light effect.

The peculiarity of this 2D pattern is the fact that it can generate many 3D designs, each one completely different from the other. The unsatisfying first attempt was rapidly followed by four new options.

The final design is a composition of a soft game of light created by the horizontal gradient and sudden transversal cuts that slightly disappear as the surface gets thinner.
