TRAVERTINE TENDRILS

PSEUDOCODE

BASE GEOMETRY

The main concept was inspired by tendrils growing out of the travertine wall and reaching out towards an attractor point. The three point base geometry was oriented on the corner wall near the pond. Each triangle was randomly scaled and rotated to add a bit more organicity.

GRASSHOPPER SCRIPT

1 Generate wall boundaries for geometry population

2 Populate geometry and random scaling

3 Random rotation

4 Amplitude towards center of geometry

5 Amplitude of geometry away from surface normals

6 Rotation and orientation of geometry towards attractor point

3D CATALOGUE

The main form exploration was based off of amplitudes generated from various types of curves and adjusting their values. The results generated created various densities and configurations of the tendrils.
