The creatures of the sea are extremely adaptible to their environment. A sea anemone is capable of changing its shape dramatically. The column and tentacles have longitudinal, transverse and diagonal sheets of muscle and can lengthen and contract, as well as bend and twist.

This architectural installation using recursive growth mimics how a creature of the sea would take over the pool of the Mies van der Rohe pavillion if let be over time.

PSUEDO CODE:

  1. Setting base geometry
  2. Translating the faces outward
  3. Rotating the translated face
  4. Feed the action into the loop
  5. Parametrise to optimize geometry

PROLIFERATION:

With parametres, the shape, angle of rotation, number of arms, orientation etc. of the anemone can be modified.
