Fabrication Process: 3D Printing
Material Used: PLA (Opaque)
Time Taken: 8 Hours – Machine Time

This lamp is built with an axel system with intentions to create a user interactive design. By the assembly of three different 3D printed components, one can manually manipulate the lamp to one’s preference. The basic units of the lamp are the small feather-like panels that vary in shape, size and in form. There are six various forms of panels; the double layered surface and the single layer surface, and curve variation (of 2 cm & 4 cm heights respectively) that directly affect the diffusion of light. The lamp also consists of tubes; about which the panels pivot around, and a circular frame with end at which the tubes are pinned onto.

This system provides variation and allow for a dynamic diffusion of light depending on how the panels are arranged.
