Photons’ lines is a project of IaaC, Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia developed at Master in City & Technology in 2016/2017 by:

In effort to combine our physical and digital world, Photons’Lines represents the way in that the ephemeral parcels of light can became quantifiable in a numerical way, becoming an instrument to improve or to monitor the level of brightness in building or urban contest.

The solution has been based on LDR sensors which, once being properly calibrated, have given us the opportunity to compare the luminescence of the required room, space or event.

The use of LEDs is proposed as an answer to the dark. In an inversely proportional relationship, these LED will brighten the surrounding area every time the sensor read some low values. In this way, light balance will be provided any time.
