PARTY-TIONS  –  smart partitions for Mies van der Rohe Barcelona pavillion.

Barcelona pavilion is an impressive building, designed in 1929 by famous architect Mies van der Rohe for international Exposition in Barcelona.
Even nowadays the building looks very stylish, modern and beautiful. Different meetings and presentations are held inside the building.
However, the planning designed 90 years ago in some cases is not very flexible and responsive to contemporary needs.

Party-tions project is an attempt to develop a system of smart partitions, that can adapt to the desired parameters of space and fill the interior accordingly.
After inputting the amount, area and configuration of needed spaces into the script, the system designs amorphous shapes of needed density, thickness and transparency. Moreover, at night the installation can be lit in different colours, attracting peoples’ attention to the interior of the pavilion.
