New matter

//Abstract

Originally there was a distinction between form and matter in the design process. In our actuality, form is one of the behavioural responses of a systematic operation to find a solution to one specific challenge.

In actuality architectural design is shaped by the dimensions and availability of prefabricated material, limiting the formal possibilities in design. Parametric architecture obtains its form through computational algorithms. These requires specific dimensions and curvatures, unavailable in the actual format that materials are prefabricated.

// Key argument

New ways of thinking will need to be applied for to rise the potential of both form and substance, these will lead into an optimum relation between computer and reality.

How the digital matter disrupt the sequence form follows matter?

New ways of thinking will need to be applied for to rise the potential of both form and substance, these will lead into an optimum relation between computer and reality.

The new way of designing and building have merge to break this linear mentality “the form needs follows the matter” this new way of thinking let the material emerge with new rules and statements that can be completely different from the forms that the material should be in the past.

Form and matter are not separate, they are an integral part of one another. Their separation creates restrictions, when they work together it is possible to achieve greater possibilities.
