For this assignment, an interactive pavilion on the rooftop of IAAC was created using Kangaroo as main engine.

Users can play with the parameters that are affecting the pavilion and transform the structure. This structure is designed user friendly where some forces from the nature are applied and it’s possible to observe the effects of the forces through simulating them.

Design Process:

Behaviors of the structure is defined in Kangaroo and the users can play with several parameters to change the structure. The forces defined were load, pressure, wind, smoothing and circle packing. In the image below, load and strength are kept constant and some parameters are changing to be able to see different possible itterations.

In the image below, all the parameters are kept constant but only wind, smoothing, pressure and loads are changed consecutively and different reactions in the structure are observed.
