Brillen en la ?Foscor

Location : Centre Cívic Pati Llimona, Barcelona

Based on the history Santa Eula?lia was a 13-year-old Roman Christian virgin who suffered martyrdom in Barcelona during the persecution of Christians. The installation aim is to create a dark romanticism sensation that will make the visitors feel and perceive the space in a more deep and “ horrifying” way.To achieve that effect the space will be complete dark and the only source of light will be from the dark light lamps that will be all around the area.

3D diagram llum3D diagram llum 2The installation set up is made in a way that the visitor is guided through the 13 sins of Santa Eulalia, the path (red line on diagrams) starts from the beginning of the corridor and continues all the way inside the main space and ends in the most dark corner of the yard. In that way the visitors will be able to explore all the main area. During the exploration the visitors will find 13 different stops, this 13 strops are connected in-between them with the use of UV ropes. The UV rope with the black light effect will glow in the dark. In each stop the visitor will be able to interact with the UV rope. When the visitors interact with them different sounds and visual effects will start to appear. The number of UV ropes that the visitors will be able to interact are 26. The ropes will be connected to sensors the sensors will give signal to the computer and that will give realtime feed to the projector and the speakers.
