This study aims to develop a structural system activating decay embedded in its materiality. Gradient capillaries allow for context specific ecologies to inhabit and transform in parallel with our built environment, channeling the process of aging as a facilitator of adaptive environments. Living fungi accelerates this phenomena of senescence, providing a multi-functional approach to bioremediation and ecological succession.
