Active systems is a research project based on the improvement of air quality in an urban environment constructed with lightweight innovative structures merged with purifying elements that provide an urban optimization and a healthier environment.

PROBLEM

Environmental pollution cost by humans

  • Industrial development
  • Excessive use of gasoline or diesel vehicles
  • High production of non-biodegradable waste
  • Deforestation

OBJECTIVE

The idea is to create urban spaces that improve the quality of the citizens in different ways:

BEFORE & AFTER

URBAN SYSTEM

  • Activation of the system in an urban context

  • Starting by selecting the most polluted areas in the city

  • Adapt a variety of systems that has a relation with an specific urban element to expand the mitigation of the urban pollutants
