After the desk correction by groups of the last thrusday, we want to point out some general comments for everybody: We can classify the correction of last day in 3 main groups, that everybody should know where to place him or herself.
Group 00: People that have been searching information in a very low level and have produced a very basic graphics.
Group 01: People that have been searching for information about the issue in a good level in terms of quantity and direction, but they have not started in the production of diagrams.
Group 02: People that have started to organize and make some general schemes/diagrams about their infrastructure layer with a good level of information.
We want also to mention for the people that have started with the diagrams, they should be in between the abstract or generic relation diagrams (not referred to the city) and very attached to the city. For example as we said the other day, the diagram of the metro of BCN we could say that is referred but in a level of abstraction that we can recognize that it belong to BCN, but is it not extremely attached to the geometry of the real lines.
For the next class all of you should be in the level of:
> having a good level of information referred to his/her own infrastructure layer.
> everybody should present diagrams that are able to explain all the information that you have extract in you analysis (relations between nodes)
> diagrams should be clear enough to understand that the belong to the city, but also that they have self-entity (you can recognise the city without explicit references)
>the measures, data, quantities, units that you are considering important should be included also in the diagrams to make them as rich and complex as possible.
>try to work with layers in the diagrams (relations, nodes, measures, units, links, inputs…)
The task is that you have to transform the information in diagrams of relation, so for the next class each of you should present a A1 printed with the state of the diagrams of you infrastructures part.
Just as a suggestion try to make the diagrams with the same graphic lay out, in order to be able to overlap them in the end of the research. (at least within the people of the group)
In order to give you more references related with the research that we are doing, we will attach you some images to illustrate once again what we expect from you.
